The Friends of Avalon, Inc.
is proud to host the

2009 Avalon Place Trinity Car, Truck & Bike Show

Saturday, May 2nd
The family council of Avalon Place Nursing and Rehab Center in Trinity began as an organization made up of Avalon resident's family members, Avalon staff and local citizens.  Their goal throughout the years was to organize and fund events that provide additional support and enhance the quality of life for all residents of Avalon Place.
The proceeds from the 2006 event, along with generous local donations, enabled the Family Council/Friends of Avalon to fill many needs including landscaping and beautification of Dr. Sam Barnes Park.
The park is located on the south side of Avalon Place, and includes twin lakes, a new concrete walking path, post lamps, a wishing well, fountains, benches & pavilion overlooking the water.

The success of The Friends of Avalon Inc. events depends greatly on the generosity of local businesses as well as individuals. If you would like to be a sponsor for this year's event, volunteer to work at the show or can assist in some way, please contact

Kay Kendrick @ 936-594-7521 or 936-577-6147

Julia McMichael @ 936-594-4113 or 936-537-5219

Ruth Wilson @ 594-5426
As of January 1, 2007, the family council has evolved into The Friends of Avalon, Inc., a 501-c-3 non-profit organization.  This new organization is guided by a board of directors made up of local citizens Cecil Heisch, Ruth Wilson, Julia McMichael and Kay Kendrick.
